The Torres Express has been designed to act as a support vessel for the East Coast and Torres Strait Fishing Fleet and therefore will be available to remain longer at particular locations should the need arise.
Our intention is that the mothership’s main purpose is to allow the Northern Fishing Fleet to remain operating in an economically sustainable environment.
This vessel will be able to carry all type of fish products and supply fishing vessels with fuel, water, chandlery items and stores.
It will also be able to carry some general freight from Innisfail to the Torres Strait.
